Trentino cuisine is deeply rooted in tradition, influenced mainly by the Tyrolean and Austrian gastronomy, a legacy of the centuries when Trentino was part of the county of Tyrol, and to a lesser extent by that of Veneto. The geographical shape and isolation of the alpine valleys have helped to shape this cuisine, making it simple but authentic. Characterized by the poverty of traditional ingredients, it makes extensive use of local products, which highlight their authenticity and link with the territory.
